LET YOUR BOAST BE IN THE LORD

2Corinthians 10:17 - 18 But, "Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord."  For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

Paul in concluding 2Corinthians 10 reiterates what David said in Psalms 20:7 Some boast in chariots, and some in horses, But we will make mention of the name of Jehovah our God. It is disastrous for those who place their confidence in what they have rather than God.  You cannot place your trust in your small accomplishment over God. Whatever you have been able to achieve is thriving on what God has already created. Your house is built on land, your goods are transported to you by the sea, the air crafts you board fly by air, the car you ride moves on the road. All these can be displaced within a twinkle of an eye by tornados, storms earthquakes, hurricanes, etc. You have stability because God is holding the system in place for you. Titanic faced a storm, Jesus and His disciples also faced a storm at sea. Titanic was bigger than the boat Jesus and His disciples used, yet the little boat survived the storm while the latter sank. Those who boast in the Lord will arrive safely despite the storms. Never say even God cannot stop me. He can stop you! Because He resists the proud and gives more grace to the humble. Let your boast be in the Lord and He will protect your boats of accomplishment.

Prayer: Father in you alone I make my boast. Raid my heart of pride and give a heart that always acknowledges God for every success choked in Jesus name Amen.
