AM I MY BROTHERS' KEEPER

Obadiah1:12 You should not gloat over your brother in the day of his misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast so much in the day of their trouble.

You are not to rejoice when misfortune befalls a brother or sister. The Edomites mocked the Israelites when they were faced misfortune. Like Cain, they ignored the role of being their brother's keeper. Loving and care for one another is very important. When God created the world He did not leave it without a caretaker, He told Adam to dress and keep the garden. We are also to be each other's guardian, not enemies. When Ham saw the nakedness of this father Noah and did not cover him, he was cursed. The friends of Job were also rebuked by God when they thought Job deserved what He was going through. You are to stand with a brother or a sister in times of trouble and to pray for their deliverance and restoration. Not to rejoice in their downfall. Those who do that are either cursed or worse things happen to them. Be a Shem and receive the blessing of the Lord.
Genesis 9:23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father. And their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.Genesis 9:25-26. And he said, Cursed be Canaan (Ham); A servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Shem; And let Canaan (Ham) be his servant.

Prayer: Father give me the grace to stand with the brethren in the trial moments to support them with every way to receive blessings that came with it in Jesus name Amen
