WHO IS YOUR PROPHET?

Ezekiel 13:4-5 Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the LORD.

There are genuine prophets and false prophets. Ezekiel was a genuine prophet whom the Lord tasked to speak against the false prophets of Israel. The role of prophets is to speak the mind of God and to turn the heart of the people to God, not to themselves. They must make the people ready for the return of the Lord. This is one of the attributes of genuine prophets, they speak about the blessings in obeying God and the consequences for disobeying God. They are not one-sided. God called them jackals because they perform dishonest deeds. Who is your prophet? Is the person genuine or a jackal?

Prayer: Holy Spirit convict the prophets of our day to speak and to stand for the truth in Jesus name Amen
