THE PERSONAL DECISION

Ezekiel 14:13-14. "Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its people and their animals, even if these three men Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.

Salvation is now a personal decision. You can't rely on someone's righteousness to be saved. You can belong to the bloodline of Abraham, David, Noah, Daniel, Job, the Pope, the arc Bishop, a pastor's son or daughter and even be an immediate relative of Jesus Christ;  if you don't make that personal decision of believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you will perish. In Matthew 8: 1-12, the descendants of Abraham, being the Jews did not believe in Jesus Christ but the centurion did. Let look at the words of Jesus in response to their unbelief. Matthew 8:11-12 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
If you have a Christian background, the kingdom is not far from you. But you will perish in darkness when you fail to make that personal decision of believing in Jesus Christ your Lord and personal Saviour.
