THE TRUMPET CALL; HEROES & TRAITORS
Ezekiel 30:2-3 "Son of man, prophesy and give this message from the Sovereign Lord: Weep, for the terrible day is almost here—the day of the Lord! It is a day of clouds and gloom, a day of despair for the nations!
The day of the Lord or the judgment day is not a day of weeping only. It is also a day of joy for those who believed in Jesus Christ. Ezekiel was asked to weep for the nations who rebelled against the Lord.
1Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with these words.
The trumpet call on the day of judgment will do two things; for some, it is a day to share in the Father's glory and for others it a day to see the Father's wrath. Where will you belong? The former or the latter? I will beseech you by the mercies of God to go for the Latter. Go for Christ Jesus. Deuteronomy 30:19 "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live!
