THESE THINGS ARE WRITTEN FOR OUR LEARNING
Daniel 5:23
Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

It amazing how people are not willing to learn from the experience of others but rather refer to experience the situation before the believe it corresponding consequences.
Belshazzar the son of king Nebuchadnezzar had read from the archives of the kingdom of Babylon the consequences of his fathers pride and disobedience against God yet he choose the same path. Sometimes experience is not always the best teacher. We showcase higher level of wisdom and minimize risk when we learn from the experience of others.
In our family line, line of business, relationships, ministry, finances, social life, education etc. There are people whose life must minister to us to either do A or B. Sometimes there are clear evidences to confirm why they failed or succeeded. In this life I believe you want to succeed and it important you look at those things that made the pioneers productive or failures. Emulate the good things they did to succeed and disregard the ones that led to their failures. Sometimes genuinely you see these things and desire to avoid them but someway, somehow it just gets to you.
I like the portion of scripture that says in Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. As you see these patterns commit yourself to prayer in that area and the Lord will deliver you. Have a blissful day.

Prayer: Holy Spirit I am trusting in your Grace so I do not walk in the errors of the fathers in Jesus name Amen
