HUMAN INSTRUMENTS

Romans 6:13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

Every field of work has instruments, types of equipment and devices they use for effective productivity. The music industry makes use of a set of drums, guitars, organs, and trumpets etc, the agricultural industry employs the use of machines like harvesters, irrigation systems, tractors etc. The list can go on and on as different sectors use different instruments. The mortal being also has instruments we use that make us live an effective and productive life. Our body is the instrument God has given us to be productive and effective.

Anyone seen cooking in a side drum, or drinking from a trumpet can be considered insane because they are not using the instrument for their intended purpose. In the same way, the human body with its internal and external parts has been designed to bring God glory. That is God's intention for creating the human body. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

Therefore anyone who uses his or her for any activity that does not bring God is unreasonable or insane. Romans 6:13a Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. You are not permitted by God to use any part of your body from your heart to the little nail on your little toe to serve sin thus disobeying God. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me for any part of my body that serves sins and dishonours you. From today I repent I will use my body to your glory Amen.
