FACT AND FAITH

Romans 4:19-21 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead —since he was about a hundred years old —and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Why do we go to the hospital when we feel sick? Sometimes we can tell where the pain is by self-diagnosis yet because we don't know the ailments we employ the services of doctors for our healing. Faith does not deny facts. The fact is that you are sick, and your faith is you are believing a physician you don't know and drugs you have never seen before to be administered to you for your healing. And the reason you trust the drugs and take them is because of the person giving them to you. If a fisherman prescribes a drug for you, it would be ignored but if a physician did you will take it. The person involved is of much importance. In the case of Abraham, Is God Himself giving out His prescription. God's word is His prescription for your diagnosis. Abraham and his wife Sarah had evidence or fact of barrenness but God gave them a prescription of His Word that says in Genesis 17:4-5 "As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. This is the drug that Abraham and his wife depended on for them to come out of their barrenness; holding on to God's word. Face your facts with faith, the evidence of God's word, and your facts will turn into miracles and testimonies.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ increase my faith that I may face every fact with the truth of God's word. Holy Spirit bring to my remembrance the very word concerning my situation in Jesus' name. Amen.
