A WAY OUT OF SIN'S DECEPTION
Hebrews 3:13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
Sin is a deception. It is an instance of actions and schemes fabricated to mislead you into believing a lie or inaccuracy. Sin never gives what it promises. Adam and Eve were misled by and promised equality with God but in the end, what they received was enmity with God. Sin presents itself in a form of promotion but in the end, it demotes you. Sin envies what you have and wants you to lose it, but it makes you feel you have nothing and it has something better to offer you. The moment you succumb, it takes away the very things you valued most that brought you fulfillment and leaves you in a miserable state. Consider our earthly parents Adam and Eve; sin took them from a garden full of supply to a cursed groud. Consider final minister Judas Iscariot sin took from his ministerial position and made him a beggar of thirty pieces of silver and a suicider. Consider also Solomon the who built God the greatest temple on earth sin moved from worshipping in God's temple to worshiping smaller gods in mountains and under trees. 1 Kings 11:4-5 As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been. He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. We can go on and talk about the likes of Sampson, David when he fell into adultery, and so on. But there is a way out of sin, and it is called daily encouragement. Today do not be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. Keep your love, your purity, integrity continue in the faith. You can make it, you are doing well. Daily listen to people who encourage you not those who condemn you. The way out of sin is not condemnation but by daily encouraging one another unto good works.
Prayer: Holy Spirit help me to open up to daily encouragement to your word and all believers who urge me unto good works in Jesus' name. Amen
