SING UNTO THE LORD
Isaiah 23:16 "Take up a harp, walk through the city, you forgotten prostitute; play the harp well, sing many a song, so that you will be remembered."
Even the forgotten prostitute will be remembered because of her many songs. Praise is a weapon. God commanded the people of Israel to go round Jericho with the songs of the Lord. You cannot be forgotten when your lips are full of the praises of our God. Paul and Silas were remembered in prison because of their songs.
Acts 16:24-26 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. God will remember every song you sing and by your songs, you shall receive deliverance.
Revelation 15:3 and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: "Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations. Moses the servant of God had a song, and his song was about the wonders of God. You too get your song that speaks volumes about the goodness of God.
Prayer: God you inhabit the praise of your people. I sing my song to you, declaring my goodness and mercy, thank you for loving me in Jesus name Amen.
