THOSE WHO ARE DISCOURAGED BY GOD'S WORD

Jeremiah 38:4 Then the officials said to the king, "This man should be put to death. He is discouraging the soldiers who are left in this city, as well as all the people, by the things he is saying to them. This man is not seeking the good of these people but their ruin."

The word of the Lord looks discouraging to unbelievers and backsliding believers. The Word of the Lord does not encourage evil or disobedience it rebukes it. But it empowers and gives courage to those who believe in it.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
2Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. *It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.
When you get a place where the word of God cannot correct you, teach you and lead you to do what is right it simply means unbelief has entered your heart and your backsliding. It is time to repent. Let all do a deep introspection in our lives as to how we have handled this word of truth that is suppose to preserve our lives.

Prayer: Father, in the beginning, was your Word and your Word will reign and rule forever but one thing I pray for that through the help of the Holy Spirit I will be able to live by the truth of your Word in Jesus mighty name Amen
