DON'T GET ENGROSSED IN THEM

1Corinthians 7:29-31 What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not; those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep; those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.

All that there is in the world is passing away quickly than we can imagine. In Paul's address to the Church He did not frown of being married or being single, neither did he frown on young widow's remarrying. The summary of this letter addresses our devotion and commitment to the Lord. That in all we do, from schooling, job, being single, getting married, giving birth, and in making wealth for ourselves, we should bear in mind that these things will pass away soon and therefore we should do them with eternity in mind. We should not be engrossed in them so much that we ignore the realities of eternity. We should engage in them knowing that we will stand before the Lord to give an account of how we lived our lives.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Prayer: Father I pray in the power of the Holy Spirit that let there help to serve you with all have I am and with all, I have so I may blameless when I stand before you in eternity in Jesus mighty name Amen.
