THE BLESSED OF THAT DAY

Revelation 16:15 "Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed."

John 10:10a The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; it gives a clue of what a thief does. Here in Revelation 16:15, Jesus Christ likened Himself to a thief because, in His second coming, a lot of destruction would occur. Some will suffer eternal death, and some will gain eternal life. Eternal death is suffering, but eternal life is a gain. He is coming as a judge. When a judge presides over a case, one wins and the other losses. Even though Jesus Christ says my second coming is like a thief, he cautions us to stay awake and not go naked? Does it mean we should not sleep or change clothes? No! It simply means that those of us who accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour must continue in Him and not follow the ways of the devil.  John 15:16 You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. Your ability to remain in Jesus Christ till your death or His second coming is what qualifies you to be numbered among the blessed of that day.

Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for wisdom and Grace to remain in you and continue in you as I await your second coming. Amen
