HOW DO YOU WANT TO KNOW THE LORD?
Ezekiel 6:14 And I will stretch out my hand against them and make the land a desolate waste from the desert to Diblah —wherever they live. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’"
People have different experiences with God. Some like the Apostle Peter God to know God in the line of business distress when Jesus Christ came through for him, after lending his boat for Jesus to use as a means of preaching the gospel. Apostle Paul encounters Christ Jesus on a deadly mission to annihilate believers, and the woman at the well meets Jesus Christ in the process of routine duties of going to fetch water. We can go on and on about how people meet God. People have different ways they desire to know God. Some people pass comments like if God is God, he should perform some miraculous sign for them to see and believe, and because they have not seen such a thing, they doubt God. The people of Israel have seen so much of God's love and provision that they had fallen into the error of sin; disobeying God. And nothing God does seems to get their attention unless God unleashes His wrath to them, then they will get to know He is God. Most of us are looking forward to witnessing something spectacular before acknowledging God. God has chosen to reveal Himself to us as a loving father through His Son Jesus Christ, and that is all we have till the second coming of the Son where He will not appear as a saviour but a judge; it will be too late for then to now decide to know the Lord. Don't be stiff-necked and say I want to know God in His wrath. The Bible says, who can stand the anger of the Lord? Now him now as your the lover of your soul and your salvation.
Prayer: Lord, Jesus Christ, I want to know you know and spend eternity with you, come into my heart, and be the Lord over my life in Jesus' name. Amen.
