DON'T GIVE UP!
Jeremiah 12:5 Then the Lord replied to me, "If racing against mere men makes you tired, how will you race against horses? If you stumble and fall on open ground, what will you do in the thickets near the Jordan?
Life is not without struggles. It is a great struggle for both young and old. Our text for today was the answer from God to Jeremiah in the midst of his challenges. But in our struggles, God does not leave us without a solution. These are the very words of Jesus Christ John 16:33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
My father in the Lord Rev. Simon Ampofo puts it this way "life is such that is you are either coming out of one challenge or you getting ready to face another one". The challenges of life do not end and it gets tougher as we progress in life, the only way to sail through it is trusting the Lord.
Talking about running with horses there was a man in the Bible who outrun chariots.
1 Kings 18:46 Now the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab's chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.
You can run ahead of your challenge if you wait on the Lord in prayer. While Ahab went to drink and eat, Elijah went up to Mount Carmel to pray. Prayer can bring you out of a challenge and take you ahead of that challenge. Year's later Prophet Isaiah comes to reaffirm the need for prayer. Jesus said men ought to pray and never give up!
Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up.
But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
You can give up on anything but never give up on prayer because, in the end, it will speak.

Prayer: Father there is no strength to pray in the midst of the challenge. Holy Spirit quicken me unto prayer, let me find the right to utter to you in my distress times in Jesus name Amen.
