YOU CUT OFF YOUR HELPERS

See now, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: all supplies of food and all supplies of water. Isaiah 3:1

God will always use chosen vessels to sort out our needs when we lay our burdens before Him and commit our ways to Him. In our verse under study today, the people of Jerusalem and Judah have put their utmost trust and faith in the systems and people. God is against that; we lose helpers and support, and we are tempted to always depend on them and ignore God. In such situations God will always drive them away!

Isaiah 3:2-3 Judah and Jerusalem depended on the following people: the hero and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder, the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor, the skilled craftsman, and the clever enchanter. The role of these people in the lives of God’s people was not bad, but the people got it wrong when they ignored God and trusted in human systems only. God can cut off your helpers; don’t allow them to take the place of God in your life.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, you are my number one help. Lead my helpers in accordance with God's will and provision for my life.
