YOU ARE A SOLDIER

 

Isaiah 13:2-3Raise a banner on a bare hilltop, shout to them, and beckon to them to enter the gates of the nobles. I have commanded those I prepared for battle; I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath—those who rejoice in my triumph.

Every child of God must have a military mindset. Look at the number of words used in this verse: "raise a banner," "battle," "my warriors," etc. Beloved, the Christian is not a civilian; once you have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, you have been recruited into an army, the army of the Lord. As believers we must dissociate ourselves from anything civilian and be battle ready. The banner on the hilltop is what Jesus Christ did on Calvary. The cross of Jesus Christ is our flag. 

By the finished work of Jesus Christ, He became the sheep gate for many to enter and join the nobles. “Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate but climbs in by some other way is a thief and a robber. John 10:1The ‘Go mission’ is the command God has given us. We have been prepared by the armor we put on! Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:11-18

Prayer: Holy Spirit make me battle ready as I arise to take my place in your army in Jesus name. Amen.
