PRAISE HIM
Isaiah 12:1-2In that day you will say, “I will praise you, Lord. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away, and you have comforted me. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12 is a song of praise. In praise is the word ‘raise.’ When we are praising God, we are raising Him overall. Praise is that one thing that God has left for us to do for Him. God will not praise Himself; it is our duty as His creation to do so. Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. The entry point to access God is through praise! You deny yourself access without praise.Luke 17:17-18Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”
Ingratitude surprises God to the core. Jesus Christ had to ask about the other nine who did not return with praises and thanksgiving unto the Lord. Praise and thanksgiving are something God expects of us. Praise is an attitude we must have towards God; whether he does something for us or not, he is worthy of our praises. Don’t be a part of the majority of ungrateful people, but be part of the minority who are grateful in good times and bad times.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for the gift of salvation. You are worthy of all praises and adoration. I just came to say thank you Lord. Amen
