THE PERFECT REIGN

 

Isaiah 16:5 In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it—one from the house of David—one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.

Most thrones and positions are established based on succession and human ambitions. People go to great lengths to get these prestigious positions. In the perfect reign of Christ, the situation is different. His throne is established in love. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. We will have a self-giving King rule over us. When Christ lived on earth, He remained faithful in His assignment. 

He lived to endure all things till he went to cross. This demonstrates His faithfulness. When Jesus walked on this side of life, he gave fair judgment in all cases, and he did that with speed; no case that came to him was delayed in judgment. Whether it pertained to individuals or controversial issues, he did justice to it in record time. 

The following are examples: the woman caught in adultery, the woman with the alabaster box of oil, Zachheaus, the issue of paying tax to Caesar, etc. John 8:7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, as I await your perfect reign, give me wisdom to execute love and justice in all I do here on earth in Jesus' name. Amen!
