THE LIGHT OF SALVATION

Isaiah 9:2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness, a light has dawned. 

Everyone's urgent need in the midst of darkness is light. From Isaiah nine, two groups of people are associated with darkness: we have those who walk in darkness and those who live in the land of darkness. Walking is transitional, not a permanent place. Those who walk in darkness are the children of God who have been hit by certain challenges of life, like Job, Hannah, our father of faith Abraham, etc. Even though righteous, they had to walk through some seasons of darkness.

If you are a believer walking through darkness, you are not alone; God is with you. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 God is walking with you through your darkness to bring you out.

Then we have those who live or dwell in darkness; for them, that is their perpetual habitation. They are those whom the devil has bound their souls and is preparing them for eternal condemnation, but glory to Jesus Christ that He has become their great light and brings them salvation.

Matthew 4:16 The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” Colossians 1:13 As they hear the good news, they are raptured from the dark world of the devil. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.
