THE OPPOSITE LIFE

“Do not call conspiracy everything these people call a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy; he is the one you are to fear; he is the one you are to dread. Isaiah 8:12-13

One core thing we must always remember as believers in our calling and walk with God is that we live opposite the world! We have not been called to fit in, but we have been called to stand out. The bane of our problem as believers is that we want to fit in; we can’t. If Jesus didn’t fit in, then we can’t. We have been not to conform but to confront. Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate,” says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” 2 Corinthians 6: We have been called to go against the trends of the world. We have nothing in common with the world.

Look at the relationship with plants and animals in and around the forest; they live in the same geographical area, but they are never the same in form and function. We must know whose we are and what he has chosen us to do. A footballer found playing chess on the field has failed in his or her mission! We have been called to be the salt and light of the world. We behave like the world does; everything we do here on earth is in deep reverence to God; our allegiance is to Him only.

Prayer: Holy Spirit help me to against the trends of the world and to focus on Jesus Christ only. Amen
