THE FOREVER ONE

  

Hebrews 7:21 but there was an oath regarding Jesus. For God said to him, “The LORD has taken an oath and will not break his vow: ‘You are a priest forever.’

In our minds we wish there were things that will remain with us forever. We cry when even older folks die. Eternity is embedded in us, that is why we get broken and hurt when the things we imagine or assume should stay with us forever does not. We will all eventually lose our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends, and sometimes children either to situations or the appointed time of death. A time will come when we will look around seeking the people and the things we may think we love most but they will be nowhere to be found.

Death is what separates us permanently from the people we love and makes it impossible for us to reunite with them again. But here is the good news: there is one who conquered death. His name is Jesus Christ. He lives on forever more, there as many as want to enjoy eternity can look up to Him. He conquered death that separated us forever and He has given us eternal life. Through Christ Jesus, reuniting with the Father and all loved ones who believed in Him is possible. Through Christ Jesus, death is no longer a permanent separator but a place of rest and access into eternity. Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labour, for their deeds will follow them.”"

Prayer: Jesus, you lives on forever. I hand over my temporary life to you in exchange of eternal life in Jesus name. Amen
