Hebrews 6:11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
The first mention of love in a Bible was a Father - son relationship. Genesis 22:2 “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.” This story is a prototype of the story of Jesus Christ and the Father. The first love you need to experience experience is the love of Christ Jesus which connects you to the Father. Most people who are mean and hostile towards others were not shown love in their homes, unless you get that fatherly relationship, you can't relate well with others.
After we have a right relationship with God, it must translate in how we relate with others. Anyone who claims has relationship with the Father but does not relate well with others is in self deception. Matthew 22:37-40Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Everything we do in this world must hang on these two. The Lord of God and our love for others.
Prayer: Holy Spirit open the eyes of my understanding, let me love you and love others as well so that what I hope for will come true in Jesus' name. Amen
