HUMAN HARDNER

 

Hebrews 3:13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.

There are things that are naturally hard like, rocks, metals, stones etc. When you even break them into pieces they still stay hardened. Sometimes as humans if when we care is not taken, we fall into the temptation of being haredened.

There are things that hardens as human. The primary thing that hardens humans is the deception that comes from sin. Sin is simply the disobedience towards God's word. Once we fall into sin it hardens us against God. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. When God's word cannot penetrate through you, it means you have become a hard person, resisting, ignoring and opposing God's word constantly. 

The antidote for hardness against God is immediate surrender to the Lord's word when it comes you. Hebrews 3:15 Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.” You will start being softer when you begin to open up to God's word. When you consider God's word in your daily or routine decisions, you become malleable and a yielded vessel in God's hand useful for every good work. 

Prayer: Holy Spirit convict me when I hear God's word, pierce my heart to receive it with meekness that my soul may be saved in Jesus name. Amen
