THE CONDITION OF HIS WILL

1 Kings 2:4 If you do this, then the lord will keep the promise he made to me. He told me, ‘If your descendants live as they should and follow me faithfully with all their heart and soul, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

To every privilege, there is a condition attached to it. The fulfilment of the condition guarantees the continuous enjoyment of the privilege. God's promises are Yes and Amen when we obey the terms of it. David as he was preparing to exist into eternity and was handing over to his son Solomon made the terms and conditions clear to him regarding the blessings of the Lord.
What was God's promise to David and his dynasty? 1 Kings 2:4b He told me, ‘If your descendants live as they should and follow me faithfully with all their heart and soul, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’ The continual succession of David's descendants on the throne was the promise. But this will only happen as a result of this. 1 King 2:3 Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go. If you do this, then the lord will keep the promise he made to me. We also have been promised great and mighty things Christ Jesus if you believe in Him, we shall receive every blessing that is due us.

Prayer: Holy Spirit give me an understanding of your will and grant me the grace to believe and receive them in Jesus' name. Amen
