HE FORGIVES AND HEALS

Luke 5:24-25 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"--He said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

The number one problem of humanity is not diseases, famine or natural disasters. Our problem is our disobedience towards God. The amusing thing is that God always gives us alternatives with consequences attached to them yet we choose the ones that will harm us.

Deuteronomy 30:15&19 “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life so that you and your descendants might live!

When Jesus saw the effort and the faith of the friends of this sick man the first thing he said was  Luke 5:20 Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, “Young man, your sins are forgiven.” When Jesus was questioned about this audacity to forgive sins, He proved He can forgive sins and the consequences of sin.

The first public testimony of John the Baptist about Jesus Christ is The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29. Jesus takes away sin and He is able is take away any other thing that is not of God in your life.

Prayer: Jesus Christ forgive me of my sin and the consequences of it over my life. Take away anything that does not conform to your will and purpose for my life in Jesus' name. Amen.
