THE LORD’S ARMY

Isaiah 13:3 I, the Lord, have assigned this task to these armies, and they will rejoice when I am exalted. I have called them to satisfy my anger." Hear the noise on the mountains! Listen, as the armies march! It is the noise and the shout of many nations. The Lord Almighty has brought them here to form an army.

Every nation prides itself in the strength of its army. The army is the backbone of nations against enemy attacks and invasion. The Lord God Almighty who reigns and rules in an everlasting Kingdom also has an army here on earth. Believer are the army of the Lord.

Believers are God's militants. Isaiah 13:2 "See the flags waving as the enemy attacks. Cheer them on, O Israel! Wave to them as they march against Babylon to destroy the palaces of the high and mighty. We have been given the task to fight the Lord's battle but we do not war like the world. David in battle against Goliath used the same weapons he used as a Shepherd to fight against him. He did not need to dress like the army. 1 Samuel 17:40 He picked up five smooth stones from a stream and put them in his shepherd's bag. Then, armed only with his shepherd's staff and sling, he started across to fight Goliath. Paul retriates this in his letter to the Corinth church. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 We are human, but we don't wage war with human plans and methods. We use God's mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil's strongholds. With these weapons we break down every proud argument that keeps people from knowing God. With these weapons we conquer their rebellious ideas, and we teach them to obey Christ. And we will punish those who remained disobedient after the rest of you became loyal and obedient.

David did not killed Goliath with smooth stones, he used the word of God.  1Samuel 17:45-46 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The word is prime weapon is fighting against the devil plus all there weapons listed in the word. Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:14 - 17 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Prayer: Father I thank you enlisting me in your army. Holy Spirit empower to a faithful soldier of the Lord in Jesus' name. Amen.
