THE FALL OF THE WICKED

Isaiah 15:7-8 So the wealth they have acquired and stored up they carry away over the Ravine of the Poplars.
Their outcry echoes along the border of Moab; their wailing reaches as far as Eglaim, their lamentation as far as Beer Elim.

The extent of wickedness can cause one to say wickedness shall never end, especially when you see the way they flourish in their enterprises. If you have been, therefore, you are not alone the great David so got to that point where he envied the wicked. Psalms 73:1-5
Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the boastful, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no pangs in their death, But their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men, Nor are they plagued like other men.
Nothing fights against the wicked why because Jesus Christ said a Kingdom divided against itself shall not stand. They are of the devil therefore he does not war against them but rather he war against the saints of God.
Revelation 13:4,6-7 So they worshipped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

David got to a place of pain. He was bleeding when his righteousness counted for nothing and the wicked prospered. Psalms 73:16-17 When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me— Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end. One of the best ways to get yourself and your mind away from the things of this world and their so-called prosperity is to get into His sanctuary, go to the presence of God, and get into the word of God, you will gain understanding. Psalms 73:18-22
Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction.
Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. As a dream when one awakes, So, Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image.
Thus my heart was grieved, And I was vexed in my mind. I was so foolish and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. In a nutshell, David is saying there is no need to envy the wicked. It is foolishness to envy anyone whose tomorrow is not certain. Psalms 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works. In the midst of it all the most important thing to do is to be more intimate with God, trusting him more and declaring His works.

Prayer: Father through it all let me learn to draw closer to you and to enjoy your presence trusting you only in Jesus' name. Amen.
