HOLY PANIC

Isaiah 21:3 My stomach aches and burns with pain. Sharp pangs of horror are upon me, like the pangs of a woman giving birth. I grow faint when I hear what God is planning; I am blinded with dismay.

Humans are afraid of floods, fire outbreaks, natural disasters, wars etc.
But one thing that is certain that most humans don't fear is God’s judgment. It is only natural for people to be indifferent about things they have not witnessed before. Just like the people in Noah's day the warning of the coming wrath of God seemed trivial to them until it happened. The notion of seeing is believing will land many in hell as it did in the days of Noah and of the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. Some don't believe in God's coming wrath, even some believers are gradually losing sight of God's impending judgment on humanity and they have joined the masses to live their lives anyhow. But the issue of God's judgment cannot be treated lightly. It runs through the Bible from the old testament to the new testament. The wrath of God comes upon those who disobey Him. If Adam the first man created by God was not spared of the repercussions of sin what makes you think you will be exempted from God's coming wrath if you ignore His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ?

But thank God for those like the prophet Isaiah who had Holy fear for the coming wrath of God. It is not enough to only hear and fear, you must repent and believe in Jesus Christ to be saved from the coming wrath. Just as it happened in the days of Noah, it happened in the days of Isaiah also. While he had a deep reverence for the judgment of God, the people were doing otherwise. Isaiah 21:4-6 My mind reels; my heart races. The sleep I once enjoyed at night is now a faint memory. I lie awake, trembling.
Look! They are preparing a great feast. They are spreading rugs for people to sit on. Everyone is eating and drinking. Quick! Grab your shields and prepare for battle! You are being attacked!
Beloved our Master and Saviour Christ Jesus will be coming unannounced. Prepared for His coming knowing well that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and you are continually living a life that pleases Him. And Just in case you have not believed yet you have the opportunity now to repent and be saved. Lord Jesus Christ, I repent of my sinful ways, I admit an a sinner, cleanse me by your blood for the forgiveness of my sins, I believe in your death and resurrection Jesus Christ. Thank you, Jesus Christ!

Prayer: Holy Spirit I pray for the grace to continue my walk with the Lord Jesus Christ until His coming in Jesus' name. Amen.
