PRAISE THE LORD

Isaiah 12:4-5 In that day you will say: "Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.

Isaiah 38:18-19 For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness. The living, the living —they praise you, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about your faithfulness. Is for the living to praise God. Praise is your honour and respect you give to God. When you get a dignitary you don't fall on others to salute them for you, you do it yourself.

Praise means your personal - raising of God. In praise, you don't hide behind songs for it to do the thanksgiving and worship for you. You must be the one showing forth your appreciation, lifting God with the song. It is not the song that begins the praise. Your admiration, love and gratitude to God should be the reason why you raise a song to Him.

Songs should not lead us to praise God, we praise God and the songs follow. Psalms 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Praise is what you do for God with your whole being. Praise is a lifestyle it is not done in church only, it is done anywhere and anytime with your life.

After you have offered yourself as praise to God then you follow it with your songs. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Our songs portray the glorious things God has done for us and they are testimonies
to the world about the goodness of God. Everyday is a good day to praise God. Praise the Lord.

Prayer: Father I came today to praise with my whole being and with the fruits of my lips. Accept the praise in bring in Jesus' name. Amen
