DIVINELY TERMINATED APPOINTMENTS

Isaiah 22:19 "Yes, I will drive you out of office," says the Lord. "I will pull you down from your high position.

God enthroned and dethrones. Make no mistake in thinking that you have inherited an eternal position. Especially in Africa and some parts of the world the issue of power-drunk and selfish leaders abound. Even when their tenure of office does not yield any gains for the people, nations and institutions they head because of greed and selfish interest they insist on staying in power. Glory be to God who is interested in the kind of leader that rule over His nations. For the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. No wicked ruler will stay till eternity. Due to the wickedness of the sons of Eli, the high priest God killed His generation and took away the dynasty of priesthood from them. 1Samuel 3:13-14 For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them. And therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”

The whole world is in leadership crisis governments, institutions and families are calling for better leadership. Citizens want better performance heads of State and leadership of various nations, wives are calling on husbands to improve upon their leadership roles and vice versa. The bane of humanity is rejecting to be ruled by God and choosing human rule. When Israel first asked for a king this is what God told them. 1Samuel 8:11-12 And he said, “This will be the behaviour of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for his own chariots and to be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots. He will appoint captains over his thousands and captains over his fifties, will set some to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and some to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.
As humans, we chose to be oppressed by our fellow beings rather than serving God. But the truth about God is that He is full of mercy and compassion and will not allow His nations to suffer and perish under any wicked leader. When Israel was under the wicked leadership of Pharaoh, they called on God. In these seasons of global crisis, if the nations and humanity will rise and call on God, He will salvage our situations and give us better leaders and delivers in the order of Moses, Davids and Solomons. We chose them for ourselves and it will take only prayers to see the hand of God intervene for us and to divinely eliminate some leaders.

Prayer: Father we are sorry for rejecting your rule and going after that of mortal beings, we deeply sorry; forgive the nations and have mercy upon us. Raise for us leaders who will ease and lighten our burdens in Jesus' name. Amen.
