WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE PEACE

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

All these are definitions of peace, very beautiful. A state of tranquility, quiet, and harmony; absence of violence. A state free of oppressive and unpleasant thoughts and emotions.
Harmony in personal relations. A State free of war.  Is it not an irony that the world claims to give us peace by defying these definitions of peace. Look at the world's system maintenance of peace; war, the UN, and other nations have to kill several people before peace can be enjoyed. Angry youths and demonstrators have to hit the street before the government and people in authority heed to their call. The court has to divorce couples to bring peace. Where is the absence of war and violence? Where that harmony in relations? Is the world really giving you peace? Let look at how Jesus demonstrates peace in John 8, a mob was ready to stone the woman caught in adultery to death but Jesus with his words; let him who is without sin cast the first stone saved the woman's life. In Matthew 19 He was asked about divorce and He said, it is not so! He who made them from the beginning made them one. Peace does not create more problems it solves them. The peace of the world creates problems but the peace of Christ Jesus solves problems. Receive the peace of the Lord Today.

Prayer: Jesus I receive your peace today Amen.
