PROFITABLE LOSS

John 12:23-24: And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.

This is the answer Jesus gave to the disciples when the Greeks came looking for him. His fame has spread abroad and He has received international recognition. In our era, we would say Jesus was trending or He has gone viral. What amazes me is how his glory is to be revealed. He said unless corn falls on the ground and dies it remains alone. It means to receive glory one must fall and die. Just like the process of germination; the seed is put in the soil, then it decomposes before it starts germinating. When it germinates it needs some conditions to make it grow; sunlight, water, carbon dioxide. And finally, when it grows into a mature plant ready to bear fruit it is pruned and this is called the process. To receive glory you must go through the process of humility, there must be a season where you are hidden, a season of service, a training, rebuke, and correction then you will receive your glory. God is not unjust to forget your labour of love. Go for the process, not the product.

Prayer: Holy spirit strengthen to go through the process to receive your glory in Jesus name Amen.
