WALKING IN HIS IMAGE

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and overall the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Our highest desire is to walk in the image in the image and likeness of God. And that is exactly how God made us. An image can be defined as an optical or other representation of a real object; a graphic; a picture. A mental picture of something not real or not present. In Genesis one we are not presented with a pictorial image of God but by the acts of God, we see His image. The image of God we see from creation is that He created all things with the words of His mouth. From Genesis 1:3-24 everything God created was by the word of His mouth. We also created in His image and likeness must operate the way God did. God used words to create a beautiful world out of a mess. The only raw material available to God at creation was words. The image of God we carry in us is the power of words. We walk in the image of God when we use words to create the world around us. Use your words to create what to want to see in your world. That is how God did it and we created in His image and likeness must do the same. This is how we walk in the likeness and image of God.

Prayer: Father I thank you for creating me in your image and likeness. From today I walk in this image by using the words of my mouth to create all I want to see in my life and in my world in Jesus' name Amen.
