SELF CONTROL

Matthew 7:16 You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You don't pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles.

Galatians 5:22-23 But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law.

The Bible is very clear on how to identify a believer and how to identify the disciples of Jesus Christ. John 13:35 "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples". These are the exact words of Jesus Christ. What kind of love is the Bible talking about here? 1 Corinthians 13:3-9 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn't love others, I would be of no value whatsoever. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will all disappear. Now we know only a little, and even the gift of prophecy reveals little!
After the microphone snatching bizarre a lot of comments and opinions have been presented. Most opinions suggesting that Joyce Blessing should have reacted to the attack but she did the contrary. This is what separates the boys from men, and girls from women in ministry the fruits of the Spirit. I must commend Joyce blessing for exhibiting the fruit of self-control on stage. Self- control is when you are able to subdue the self from taking the lead. When you deny the self of its appetite like rage, anger, retaliation, insults, and so on. If you have self-control situations don't control you, you control them.  May God increase us in the area of self-control.

Prayer: Holy Spirit cause to grow and bear the fruit of self-control in Jesus name Amen.
