HOLY ANGER

The people of Jabesh - Gilead were attacked suddenly by an Ammonite called Nahash for no reason. Sometimes in life, it happens. Out of the blue, our adversary the devil can just come up against you, not because you did anything wrong or you went looki

ng for trouble, it is just his devouring nature at work. Nahash means a serpent ( the devil) and Jabesh- Gilead means (dry). 1 Samuel 11:1-2 Then Nahash the Ammonite came up and encamped against Jabesh Gilead; and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, "Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you." And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, "On this condition, I will make a covenant with you, that I may put out all your right eyes, and bring reproach on all Israel."

Nahash who represents the devil claimed he wanted to make a covenant to serve the people of Jabesh-Gilead but on the condition that he will put out their right eyes and disgrace all of Israel. Making people blind spiritually and physically is a vital weapon of the enemy.  2 Corinthians 4:4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

All that Satans seeks to do is to hinder people from Jesus Christ who is the light. Thank God for the Christian family and other brethren in the faith who we can call upon in times of trouble. It is important that you find yourself in a company of believers who you can call upon in your dry season. We thank God for His Holy Spirit who stirred King Saul to rally an army that attacked and scattered  Nahash and his cohorts. You must arise as a believer with Holy anger when the enemy is fighting against God's people and wage a good warfare against him to scatter and thwart his plans.

Prayer: Holy Spirit stir in me a Holy anger to arise to wage a good warfare against the kingdom of darkness and to save the kingdom of God from reproach in Jesus' name.
