IMAGINARY PROPHECIES

Ezekiel 13:1-2 Then this message came to me from the Lord:  "Son of man, speak against the false prophets of Israel who are inventing their own prophecies. Tell them to listen to the word of the Lord.

We were created in the image and likeness of God, and we have the ability to create like God. As humans, we are free to create things; they in and day out, we bring new things on board. But our invention has limitations; we cannot make or invent what God hasn't said. Prophecy is not imagination; prophecy is stating what God has inspired you to say. Ezekiel 13:3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Destruction is certain for the false prophets who are following their own imaginations and have seen nothing at all! Beloved, the prophetic is beautiful but be sure you are not speaking your imagination because in the Lord says Isaiah 55:8-9 "My thoughts are completely different from yours," says the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.  For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. So if you prophecy from your imagination, you are limiting God, and when you limit God, he, in turn, limits you. Don't say thou says the Lord when He is not saying anything. Be still and wait on God until He speaks to you; the bible is the sure prophecy of God always speaking to us. Don't incur God's wrath upon yourself by saying things He permitted you to say.

Prayer: Father, I desire to hear from you; open my eyes and ears that I may hear when you speak in Jesus' name. Amen
