THE WAY OF LIFE, PROSPERITY AND HONOR

Proverbs 21:21 Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor.

Righteous is not doing the right things that seem good in your own eyes or doing things that society and people deem right. Righteousness simply means having a right standing with God. You can have a right standing with people and society but before the Lord, you are not standing right. Righteousness is accessing the right standing with God through the finished work of Christ on the cross. Christ is righteous in making the sinner righteous.

Romans 3:10 As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one. 

But today the Bible is teaching us that whoever pursues righteousness and loves finds life, prosperity, and honor. It simply means righteousness is someone you and I have to pursue and find. It means we must pursue Jesus Christ and find Him.  John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. 

This piece of scripture in Isaiah clearly explains that it not enough to say I have forsaken evil and I am doing good therefore I am righteous. There cannot be righteousness without seeking God. 

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 

You don't determine righteousness. Righteous is of the Lord and He is the one who gives it to us as we seek Him. As you seek Him to be righteous then He prospers and honors you in all you do. 

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. When you walk after the righteousness of the Lord sometime in the eyes of the world you may look condemned but the Lord who distributes righteousness will vindicate you. There is earthly and eternal prosperity for all who walk in the righteousness of the Lord. We are on a pursuit to prosper but to get there we need Life, and that life is Christ Jesus. We need Him to rub on us His riches of righteousness to make us righteous people who qualify for divine life and prosperity. Seek Christ Jesus, love, and receive prosperity now and in eternity.

2Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake, he became poor so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Prayer: Jesus I desire your righteousness, not my own righteousness. Christ Jesus cover me with your riches of righteousness and prosper me in all I do in your name have I prayed with thanksgiving Amen.
