WHAT TO DO IN WORSHIP
Revelation 4:9-11 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."
Today in John's revelation on the island of Patmos, He gives us the way the Son is worshiped. The living creatures are involved in worship, and the twenty-four elders also got engaged in worshiping the King of kings. What does this tell us? Worship must be done both at the personal level and among the saints of God. You don't only worship in church but at your home; wherever you find yourself, you must worship God through thanksgiving, honour, and glory. When the saints of God meet in worship, we must be involved. During praise and worship sessions in church, as song minstrels lead us, we must come humbly before our God in singing, clapping, kneeling, lying prostrate before our God and King because He is worthy to receive all that we have and all that we are. You don't come before God with our worth and position in mind; you don't say am a pastor, lawyer, teacher, doctor, student, married and so on, no when you come before God, you have to set aside all that you know you are focus on Him only because you and all that you have were created for Him. "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they were created and have their being."
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I worship you; there is none like you, take all the praise and glory due to your Holy name. Amen.
