THE CHRISTIAN SOLDIER

Revelation 6:1-2 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!"

I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

So far, in our study of the book of Revelation, we have gone through the letters written to the seven churches. It is incredible the scrolls, too, were seven, and to the Glory of God, Jesus was found worthy to open these scrolls when one else could. So from now, we will look at the scrolls' content and the lessons we can pick from them as believers. The information in the first scroll to be opened reveals a white horse, whose rider held a bow and was given a crown, and he was described as a conqueror bent on conquest.
In the natural no one is given a crown until you are declared champion. So if anyone is going out on war with a crown on his head, it means he has won the battle already. The first rider represents believers, the body of Christ. Christ Jesus, through His victory on the cross of Calvary, has given us the victory already and must ride on this sure foundation to move out at conquerors bent on conquest. And what is conquest here? We must be bent on winning souls, destroying the works of darkness, and taking territories for Jesus Christ far and near. You have the crown of victory, and you cannot allow yourself to be enumerated among failures. With your weapon in hand, move out there and return as a conquest.

Prayer: In the name of Jesus Christ, by the victory you won and passed on unto me, I enter in every battle, and I return as a conquest in Jesus' name. Amen
