TAKE A STAND

Revelation 3:15 -16 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm —neither hot nor cold —I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

The church in Laodicea was last to be mentioned by the Apostle John in his
letters to the churches. The state of the Laodicea church was extremely negative. God could not lay hold of any good thing in that assembly; they lived a double standard life. And for them, the judgment of God was soon to befall them. The church understudy today pride themselves in what they have acquired in life.
Revelation 3:17 You say, ’I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. Today most believers have become so; they pride themselves with academic accolades, earthy possession, yet their hearts are far away from the Lord.
Revelation 3:19-20 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Today the Lord is knocking at your heart; let Him come in and help you with this double standard life.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, come into my heart to stay and transform me into a firebrand believer in your Holy name. Amen
