THE RESTING PLACE

Isaiah 28:11-12 Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people, to whom he said, "This is the resting place, let the weary rest"; and, "This is the place of repose" — but they would not listen.

This is the day of Pentecost being prophesied by the Prophet of God Isaiah. Acts 2:4-8 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? The work of the Holy Spirit is not limited to a particular group or tribesmen. Jesus gave the Church the mandate of global evangelism in Matthew 28: 16- 20. The Holy Spirit is the mandatory factor that makes evangelism possible. The great commission cannot be fulfilled without the Holy Spirit. The Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Through the power of the Holy Spirit God is calling humanity to a place of repentance through Jesus Christ our Lord. In Christ Jesus the weary find rest. Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Jesus is the rest stop of humanity yet many reject Him. At Pentecost, many believed others rejected. Is a matter of choice. Believe and be saved.

Prayer: Father long ago you prophesied over my life that through the Holy Spirit in Jesus will I receive salvation. Lord Jesus Christ am weary give me the rest I desire in Jesus name. Amen.
