THE NEED FOR RIGHTEOUS ANDJUST LEADERS.

Isaiah 32:1 See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.

There is the need for righteous and just leaders in all spheres of leadership. From the families, churches, communities, institutions, government, and so on. The outcome of lives depends on leadership. From Isaiah 32: 1- 7 we will see the importance of righteous and just leaders. The first importance is seen in Isaiah 32:2 Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land. Because such rulers lead with righteousness and justice they are able to save their subjects from the oppression of wicked and unjust people and gain confidence with the people concerning all issues of life.
When righteous and just leaders rule there is clarity of vision and obedience to the rule of law, knowledge and wisdom increase and truthfulness becomes the order of the day. This is because such leaders live by example and their lifestyle does not confuse the people in what to believe. Isaiah 32:3-4 Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.
The fearful heart will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear. When the righteous and just leads they put fools and scoundrels in their place. They arrest them and give justice to the poor and innocent people who have become their victims. Isaiah 32:5-7 No longer will the fool be called noble nor the scoundrel be highly respected. For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the LORD; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water.
Scoundrels use wicked methods, they make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just. We need this kind of leadership at every level in society for progress. Wherever you find yourself leading be that kind of leader.

Prayer: Father in the name of Christ Jesus we pray that all levels of leadership in the world you raise for us righteous and just leaders in Jesus' name. Amen.
