DON'T ERR IN VICTORY

Isaiah 39:2 Hezekiah received the envoys gladly and showed them what was in his storehouses —the silver, the gold, the spices, the fine olive oil —his entire armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.

Victory, success, breakthroughs have destroyed many. A young lady or young man is a virgin until the night of his or her graduation. People are committed to the things of God until they get their breakthroughs. King Hezekiah out of joy from the recovery of his ailment and because of the gifts the people of Babylon brought, showed these foreigners everything in his palace. On the day where a football team wins a match or a major trophy supporters of that team go gay. Decent men all of a sudden find themselves intoxicated with wine, some married men and women suddenly cheat on their spouses all in the name of victory. We forget ourselves all of a sudden because of victory. Hezekiah did that too out of the joy of healing he exposed the nation's assets and secrets of Israel to Babylon without checking their background. Little did he know his over jubilation was going to take his generations into slavery for seventy good years. Beloved in your jubilation of victory exercise discretion. Some people have lost homes, careers, marriage, purity, their lives through reckless driving, drunk driving because they could handle jubilation well. Never compromise in celebration of victory. Let God always be at the center of all you do.

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus Christ I repent of any error I have committed during my jubilant moments. Have mercy on me and restore me to yourself. Amen
