LET SOMEONE BETTER THAN THEM TAKE THEIR POSITION
Esther 1:19
"Therefore, if it pleases the king, let him issue a royal decree and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media, which cannot be repealed, that Vashti is never again to enter the presence of King Xerxes. Also let the king give her royal position to someone else who is better than she.
"Therefore, if it pleases the king, let him issue a royal decree and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media, which cannot be repealed, that Vashti is never again to enter the presence of King Xerxes. Also let the king give her royal position to someone else who is better than she.
Pride will always make you loose your position. No body is able to tolerate pride. Even God could not share heaven with Lucifer when he became proud. You are replaceable in your family, community, church and in your work place. It is a privilege to be given an office to serve. You can't be a slave forever, you will either be set free or die eventually. It better to be released from a position through these means than to be ejected out by pride. There is no glory and prestige when pride ejects you out. You are forced out office or position as a criminal, your days of labour and loyalty is forgotten in the thin air. Bible records that Michael the Arc angel and the other angels fought Lucifer and threw him out of heaven.
Look at the public ridicule Vashti had to go through before she was finally dethroned as a queen. Pride doesn't rule for long but humility rules forever. Because of humility Jesus has been given a name above every other name. How do over come pride? You overcome pride when you swallow your reputation and see others who you may even have advantage over as better than your self. In Philippians 2: 5- 6. It is recorded about Jesus that he did not see equality with God as a thing to grasp but made himself of no reputation. Humility is the way of Christ let learn to emulate him.
Prayer: Hold spirit give me a heart of humility at all times in Jesus name Amen
