DON'T REJOICE ABOUT THE FAILURES OF OTHERS

Obadiah 1:11-12
On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them. You should not look down on your brother in the day of his misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast so much in the day of their trouble.
It easy to see the flaws of others when they get into trouble. Most people like to lash people's back and point to them their flaws and negligence as to how they have found themselves in their current situation. God was not happy with the Edomites when they didn't show concern for their brothers when they got into trouble. To add salt to their injury they were mocking them, and celebrated about their failure.
When people get into trouble; they are already stressed out, they now realize the decisions they took was wrong and they are already feeling guilty. When people get to this point that is not the time to tell them: I told you so, you should have done this and that, that was childish, did you do your checks very well, bear the consequence alone. It is not time for you to rejoice over their failures.
But is time for you to encourage them and bring ideas on board that will help solve the situation as you take clues from their flaws. When you mock people in their flaws Gods sees it as pride and He will  soon come after you.
Prayer: Holy spirit give me a heart of compassion to the sympathise and empathise with people in times of  trouble in Jesus name Amen.
