THE INVESTOR
Mark 12:1 Then Jesus began telling them stories: " A man planted a vineyard, built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country.
The parable of Jesus Christ, today in Mark twelve, gives a picture of an investor in wine production. He planted the vineyard and protected it, and the factory was also protected. Like most investors, He leased it out to people to come for the dividends later.
Investment started with God. He has placed the earth under man's care. He has made available natural resources and put in systems and structures for production of these resources. 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Salvation is a complete package from God. He has given a protected field and a secured production hub. The field of every believer is the world and what we must produce is souls. Mark 12:2 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. For everything that God has invested in you, whether it is time, resources, health, wealth, business, souls, etc., you know as an individual when the harvest is ripe, and also God knows. But the challenge comes with the kind of people He sends to collect his share.
Mark 12:2 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. At harvest time, the people God sends are servants, not prominent people. But because we fail to discern the move of God, we maltreat them and send them away. Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing, some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. In this parable, the people continued to kill the servants of the investor he sent to collect his share till they killed his dearly beloved son. How many of God's sent servants to you have you killed by denying help, services, and kindness. God will forgive you for how you have treated others, but you will never be forgiven if you treat Jesus Christ with discontent. Beloved, you have the last opportunity to give God his share by how you treat Jesus Christ and His teachings.
Prayer: Father, forgive me for ignoring your servants you sent my way. I hold on to this last opportunity with Jesus Christ to give you the share for all you have invested in me in Jesus' name. Amen
