PARENTAL CARE

Mark 7:11-12 But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, 'Sorry, I can't help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I could have given to you.' You let them disregard their needy parents.

Parental care is God's Law and the penalty for not caring for your parents is death. This law is so relevant that Jesus Christ had the touch on it and rebuked the Pharisees for twisting this particular Law of God. Mark 7:10 For instance, Moses gave you this law from God: 'Honor your father and mother,' and 'Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.'

When you have not yet married, the order of your relationship is Christ Jesus is your head, then your parents before anything else comes in. When one marries, the order then becomes Christ being the head, followed by the man being the head of the woman and the family at large, which includes the parents of the couple.
Family is the heartbeat of God; God Himself is a parent and wants us to honour parents. Hebrews 12:23a You have come to the assembly of God's firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. In the Lord's prayer, Jesus Christ taught us to start our prayer by saying our Father, who is heaven, but cannot my father in heaven when you ignore your earthly parent.
Interestingly the reason behind people ignoring their parents and not catering for them was the twisted teachings of the Pharisees. The Pharisees taught the people that it is ok to say mama, Papa, I can't help you; this money has been vowed to God.

Today in our times, this is still happening; some men and women of God have created enmity between children and their parents. Telling children their parents are witches and wizards, they are the cause of their problems, and so on.
Instead of teaching their flocks to care for their parents, they have directed the care to themselves and have indoctrinated the people with teachings that monies planned to give to God cannot be given to parents or families who need help. The result of this teaching is found in Mark 7:12; You let them disregard their needy parents.
Any person or teaching deterring you from caring for your parent is demonic. Our parents have a portion in our salaries. Before you pay your vow to your Parent in heaven, be sure to have paid your Parents on earth because, without your earthly parent, you cannot have a Father in Heaven. Brethren, parental care is not a tradition; it is God's Law. It is better to obey God than to follow the tradition of men.

Prayer: My Father in heaven am deeply sorry for ignoring my earthly parents; Lord, from today, I repent, forgive and take away any cures I brought on myself because of the error of not caring for my parents. Lord Jesus, pardon and restore me that I may do right in Jesus' name. Amen.
