MORE THAN EVER BELIEVE

More than the message of the cross of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus is under great contempt and ridicule. Some who believed earlier have fallen out of the Faith because of human ideology and philosophy. Others are confused and some are resolute concerning what we have believed about Jesus Christ.

As this message reaches you today I do not know which category you belong but the message of the cross is experienced with missed reaction. Whichever stance you have is not surprising to God. 1 Corinthians 1:18-21 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

Jesus Christ indeed died and He is risen.  1 Corinthians 15:16-21 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. Jesus loves Christ died and he resurrected. Don't be confused about it.

Prayer: Holy Spirit give me an understanding of the message of the cross, help me believe and stay in the faith to the very end in Jesus' name. Amen
