CONFUSION

Galatians 5:9-10 This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough!  I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has been confusing you.

At the heart of confusion are false teachings. One of the commonest challenges of the last days will be false teachings and they already abound in the world. 2 Peter 2:1-3 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them —bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.  Apostle Peter and Apostle Paul both in their writings make it clear that false teachers will face the wrath of God, this means that God will be lenient or pardon those who believe their falsity.

The answer is no. Everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour has the Holy Spirit which teaches us all truths. The Holy Spirit does not endorse false teachings. Apostle Paul after laying a strong foundation of faith for the Galatians was worried about the believers falling prey to false teachings. The sole aim of false teaching is to confuse because the devil knows once you are confused you cannot receive anything from the Lord. James 1:7 A double-minded person cannot receive anything from the Lord. How do you avoid confusion? You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. What truth are we talking about here? The truth about Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Holy Spirit grant me the spirit of revelation about the truth of Jesus Christ that I may know Him and not be led astray by false teachings in Jesus' name. Amen!
